Nevertheless
It has been ages since my wait in the dark
A wait for the light to find me again
But nevertheless,
I will wait for the divine morning
The cold air does not hurt the skin
As much as the silence hurts the soul
But nevertheless,
I will wait for the familiar sound of life
The snake of oblivion slithers towards me
Or maybe it is my imagination
But nevertheless,
I will wait for a fight to exist
The quiet of loneliness screams out
Trying to drown my heartbeats,
But nevertheless,
I will wait for her laughter to be heard again
The stench of death lurks nearby
Reaching out to engulf the fragrance of life
But nevertheless,
I will wait to be revived by her scent again
The night tries to put me to sleep
Promising an end to the eternal pain
But nevertheless,
I will wait for hope to wake me up again
